About BVHS

Buckeye Valley High School 
901 Coover road, Delaware Oh 43015                                                                                                                   BVHS is a rural public high school located in Delaware County's Troy Township, north of Delaware, Ohio. It is the only high school in the Buckeye Valley Local School District. The mascot is the Fighting Baron. Buckeye Valley athletes compete in the Mid-State League .  

History

The Buckeye Valley High School Barons was established in 1963 as a consolidation of the Elm Valley (Ashley) Aces, the Radnor (Local) Trojans, and the Scioto Valley (Ostrander) Rockets. The original high school is located on Coover Road in Troy Township and still exists today. It has undergone two expansion projects.  The first one, in 1997 adding a theater and auxillary gym and the second one in 2010 that renovated the building and added additional classrooms. Today BVHS houses approximately 725 students in grades 9–12.
