The following pages contain descriptions of all courses offered at Buckeye Valley High School. Students and parents can also reachout to our School Counseling team for additional course or program information.

A course may not be offered if enrollment is not high enough to offer the course as planned.

English 

All Students must earn four credits of English to fulfill graduation requirements.  The required courses are sequential, and it is discouraged that students take courses concurrently.

Mathematics

All students must earn 3 credits of Math to fulfil graduation requirements.

Science

All students must earn 3 credits of Science to fulfill graduation requirements.  

Health/Physical Education

All students must earn 0.5 credit (or PE Waiver) and 0.5 Health credit to fulfill the graduation requirements.

Social Studies

All students must earn 3 credits of Social Studies (American History, American Government, World History) to fulfill the graduation requirements.

World
Language

While no world language credit is required for graduation from high school, a minimum of two years of study in one world language is recommended to meet most college application requirements and a third unit or more is suggested.

Fine Arts

Students must complete 1 credit of visual or performing arts (Vocal Music, Band, Art) to fulfill the graduation requirements.

General
Electives

Buckeye Valley offers a variety of Gneral Electives for students to choose from.  Students must earn a minimum of 4.5 General Elective credits to fulfill Graduation requirements.

Agricultural Science 

Agricultural Education is designed for students to build upon their experiences in and out of the classroom. Students have the opportunity to hone skills through nationally recognized competitions, build leadership principles at state and national gatherings, and explore colleges and careers.

Business & Technology

Central Ohio is ripe with opportunities for graduates with a background in business. No matter what field a student ends up pursuing upon graduation, business education will be relevant. Why wait until you graduate high school to gain that background knowledge and experiences?  Consider exploring the many great opportunities in the fields of Business during your high school career!

Business Technologies and Information Technologies courses are elective classes.

Delaware Area Career Center (DACC) Programs

The Delaware Area Career Center offers many programs in several career clusters. Most programs are two-year programs with certification in the area upon completion of the program requirements. There are also senior only programs available on a flexible schedule.

This is an accredited citizenship- and character-building program offered at R.B. Hayes High School and available to high school students of the Olentangy, Delaware, Buckeye Valley, and Big Walnut Districts.
